It's getting busy ....

Have you heard that Mary MacKillop Place is open each day from 6am? Not sure how many volunteers are required each shift, but yes, there are many.

There was great celebrating this morning at 7.30am with an Aboriginal Liturgy, together with a smoking ceremony and procession.

Mary Ryan attended the Conference Centre at Darling Harbour for some 'bumping in' and getting ready for the Vocations Expo.

Geraldine was happy to accompany Yvette Nehme, to pick up the passes. Keep your eyes posted at the opening liturgy as Yvette is receiving communion from Cardinal Pell.

Sharon and Janette were posted in various places on Mary MacKillop Place.

Over 1,000 pilgrims were booked in for the day - not counting the pilgrims that just walked in 'off the street'. Central station was a-buzz with pilgrims.

In the city, at St. Mary's Cathedral, the coffin of Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati is a popular place for the pilgrims. He died in 1925 at the age of 25, after having shown that a life of charity in the service of justice can be lived in joy and peace. Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati is popular with the young people of the world.
